Works great some times but other times you need more guile which is what they miss without Coutinho which was the start of my commments
The CL final is an odd cup competion hence why a team we beat in that comp is still in it. We beat Madrid and we beat Pool. Neither side beat us but weirdly City battered us in the league and aren’t in it, as it’s a cup not a measure of the season

Oh well I can only say I disagree if all you think they do is a posh long ball and the masses do too. They scored ten more goals than us, so whatever you want to label their attacking play they did it better than us.

Whether you want to call the CL an odd competition or whatever, they’ve still had a better season coming 4th and getting to a CL final. Can you imagine if we had got to the CL final and come 4th and then someone suggest coming 3rd and getting nowhere else was better? Come on....

Who lost the last 5 finals?
I can tell you who won them
I’d love to be in that final but I’d we lost it I’d wanna forget it in a heartbeat

And as for the masses it mainly consists of ex pool players commentating and talking an no one having the balls to tell them something different. They did score more goals than us yet finished behind us. That’s a team that isn’t as good then surely?

Edit 7 goals and 6 assists in 13 games

Salad and ladyboy over took him in the last 3 games by all accounts

The conversation was about who was the most entertaining after City, not who’s the better team, and considering they apparently have a much weaker defence than us only let in two more goals. Of course it’s better to win the final, but at least they got there regardless. It’s Liverpools first CL campaign under Klopp and they’ve already got to a final. Win it or not that’s a very good achievement and we’ve got nowhere close during our campaigns....

Well we lost to the winners on our first season in it (I think) and we may well have beaten the winners this season. It happens as it’s an odd format having a league and no knock out set up

So poor conceded 2 more than us and scored 10 more but finished behind us... that’s an odd pair of stats don’t you think?

They finished two points behind us, I don’t find that an odd stat at all. There are plenty of teams with a smaller GD who finish ahead of another with a better GD. Liverpool should have very easily finished ahead of us had they not had CL to focus on. But again I wasn’t debating who’s a better side so not sure where you’re going with this.....

I do, it shows how many points we left behind this season, I expected us to finish 10/15 points ahead of them at a bare minimum.

I just think the CL focus thing is papering over a weakness in their side and one that as I said originally Countinho may have helped with

I like how you dismiss the effect Wembley had our performance this season whilst playing up the effect Liverpools CL run has had on theirs - if Liverpool are a team good enough to get to the CL final on merit and you're using it as a reason as to why they are better than us then they should be good enough compete fully in the league too.
