Seeing as you feel so strongly about it, I've just wasted time that I could I'll afford reading it. Nothing new or interesting in there.I don't think you've read it so how would you know what is considered?

The comment that person in question themselves has liked?BTW I note that you have again decided against acknowledging your total lack of respect for another person on this forum. It speaks volumes.
I've got a lot of time for @LutonSpurs and I sincerely don't wish for him to have to go through anything like that.then read what @LutonSpurs wrote about his lived experiences. How the way you run this board is contributing to that… think about that for a second
It would certainly have helped his case if he had. Although I still believe the correct response is to challenge such points and ask for clarification where it isn't clear.Mark had a chance to do that when he was pulled up on it in the thread. He chose not to. The intent of the comment was clear.
In which case, I may not have been clear myself.I don't think that anyone is suggesting that people shouldn't be able to criticise religion. In a thread or conversation about religion, that is fair game. I think that it is perfectly possible to do that and still be respectful. What I disagree with and think you are completely wrong on is letting people get away with underhand racist comments using religion as cover.
Repectful? No, there's no good end to respect of religion.Let me get this straight.
You are now conflating the freedom to criticize religion in an open forum with an example of casual racism in a thread? Combined with your creative edit of the repositioned thread in question, this is yet another example of you trying to steer the narrative to safe ground as I doubt anybody doesn't agree that (respectful) criticism of religion should not be allowed.
The silence of the poster is due to having been banned.
What else am I supposed to do? Assume intent and make a judgement based on that? Everyone deserves the right of reply.

If that is truly what has happened then it's obviously unacceptable. But had I known Khan was Muslim I may have made a similar comment (probably more insulting) from time to time. That would have had nothing to do with.his skin colour and everything to do with him holding ridiculous beliefs.
I haven't checked the moderation settings, but I had a pm from him the other day saying he's been banned. I'll check. He’s literally been posting elsewhere on this forum. Everyone is aware you’re full of brick on here but at least try a bit.

I've drawn a very clear line at assuming someone's religion because of their skin colour, that shouldn't even need saying.
I don't. I take the tinkle out of everyone. Many have a sense of humour and respond in kind.Generally when I ‘have a lot of time for someone’, I engage with them in a respectful manner even when I fundamentally disagree with their ideas or beliefs. I don’t goad them or wilfully dismiss their lived experiences just because it hasn’t happened to me.

It was a brick comment that I shouldn't have posted
Reason I never replied back was that I was away and then banned
I will be a more considered poster going forward
Hahaha. What a mealy mouthed load of gonads. That's what is being discussed in the mod forum and has unfortunately spilled out here.
I'm not commenting on that side of things until it's been discussed fully.
Seeing as this has become the thread to discuss racism, and to try to move on slightly from a conversation that I'm not sure can be resolved.... what do people think of those twitter accounts where they post a picture of a footballer when they were a child and ask people to guess who it is which is, 100% of the time, followed by hundreds of guesses of footballers with a totally different colour skin.... casual racism that's seemingly acceptable... its abhorrent to me
