Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I'll refrain from making a comment, other than that it's Trump level stupidity.
That said, Webb is doing a terrible job. There are so many issues, and he's made it worse. It's so easy to fix by just applying the rules! ALL of them, not just focus on a selected few, like they do now (and doing that badly too). Give yellows INSTANTLY to players not moving away from the ball when a fk is awarded to the other team. Give yellows for holding. EVERY time! Stop using VAR to re-ref the game. just doing those few things properly, would improve the game massively.

Professional refereeing has always been about revenge of the bullied. Those who are driven to spoil everyone's fun. Its inherent in the characters it attracts

The problem is that officiating is becoming a race to the pot of gold. You get to the PL level and you get a decent salary compared to the average man. The pot of gold though is about getting your name known and your face recognised. Then you can exit the refereeing and move into the high profile world of TV and radio. Then the salary increases and you get the generational wealth. That's why Mike Dean made sure that he was always going to be a known name in his field. He'd literally look at games and figure out who was the most famous 2 or 3 players on that pitch and then he would take one of them down in a controversial way by showing them the red card. Not every week, but enough to know that we all know who Mike Dean is.

PGMOL need to address their culture. It is toxic from the inside.

The game could change within about 3-4 weeks if the referees followed the laws. As I said above, every manager would immediately address their tactics if they felt they were at risk of playing with 9 every week. You'd see immediate results and more entertainment.
