Jaden Brown, Keanan Bennetts and Sam Shashoua all played for England u17s tonight as they beat Italy 3-0, the latter two came off the bench and each won a penalty. As a side note, Jason Dozzell's son also plays for the u17s, though he's on the books of Ipswich.

Both him and Kiwomya have sons who are meant to be good prospects

Ball and Oduwa both started for Rangers today in some kind of cup competition. They currently lead Airdrieonians 3-0.

The BBC report (0-5) includes .....

Some of the intensity slipped from Rangers' play after the break. Oduwa continued to threaten with his feints, jinks and step-overs.

The tricks were eye-catching, but the technique and work rate of Halliday carried greater substance. Playing in the holding role, he was the visitors' most influential player, and delivered a series of cross-field passes that were expertly weighted.
All the time he's toying with them he is drawing additional defenders and making space for others. Can't argue with Cochise's summary of his efforts on Saturday, but at one stage he ran diagonally across the box (without the ball) and four defenders went with him !. Yes, four !!. His team-mate with the ball was so surprised he didn't take a shot until too late.

Still, it would be nice to see him deliver.

PS - I'd fancy Tavernier for us

Walker-Peters and Onomah called up to the latest England u19 squad, Amos misses out. Edwards and Whiteman are in the u18s and will both presumably go to the World Cup in October. Winks in the u20s, Dier and Alli in the u21s.

Both him and Kiwomya have sons who are meant to be good prospects

Kiwomya's a junior sprint champ, not sure how great at football he is though.

Was just gonna post the same thing! He was one of the highly thought of ones wasnt he? Then again if he was that highly thought of he might be knocking a bit more on the door of the first team squad?

errr why have we let him go? Any ideas?!?

Bit odd about Azzaoui

We only signed him from Anderlecht a year ago and he's about the only good forward in the whole of our academy.

can only assume he signed a 1 year contract. So was free to make up his mind to move elsewhere. Seems a strange decision from him to me, we have a good history of bringing youth through the ranks and also we keep them on longer when they need the time to improve. Seemed like a temperamental but talented player.

He's 17 and isn't tied down to any big contract. He's played well in a lot of youth tournaments so it's only natural for him to have caught the eye. In a way we were just a stepping stone for him to get a bigger move. I'd assume Wolfsburg offered him and his family an amazing contract and that's why he's gone.

It's slightly worrying when you consider the other good young talents we have coming through, but then Azzaoui was only with us for a year and likely had little feeling towards the club.

Disappointing re: Azzaoui. Maybe he was getting told off for not working hard enough???

Edwards is THE big hope... COYS
