Oh come on! Is this the peak of ridiculousness and it's only three days into the window
Fake account. Don’t bite.I was so excited when we got him, loved what he was about at the world cup. And Im still a little sad we never gave him a real crack at it.
Considering Poch was always the FB whisperer, and Yedlin was potentially an evolution of Kyle Walker, I really thought he would get more of a chance

Can you think of anyone though?
It’s like a dying breed
Plenty around. Of the top of my head: Wood, Deeney, Carroll, Anthonio. Not saying they are the right quality and its not my job to find them but they do exist. Remember they have to be prepared to play second fiddle when Kane is fit again. We desperately need a Plan B. Kane has not been good at winning balls in the air or holding the ball up recently. In our current state of affairs we need a real battler up front who is going to disrupt the opponents centre halves. I would even ask our defenders who they least like to play against.
Cool. Just didn’t want you being suckered into Dewey eyed reminiscing over a wind up! ;-)Actually didnt really think about signing him, rather just when we got him originally.
Tis silly season, so I read most things with a healthy pinch of salt
I'd hope that there would be less need for a striker who can deal with high balls once we've sorted out our midfield. We've only been reliant on it since Dembele stopped being a fixture in the team.
I agree with you. Its not ideal long term, but it is a viable Plan B - which we currently don't have. A real bully up front would be a major plus. A Bobby Smith-type would be ideal (one for the older lags!)

I think that we have seen Kane playing more like this under Mourinho. My preference would still be to have someone who can play across the front four positions because they will get more game time but this would be well down my list of priorities.
Kane has tried to play like this under JM but has failed miserably in this role. I don't think he has it in him to rough up defenders. He isn't even great at winning headers or getting to the ball first to hold it up. Not his game.
Drogba, Costa and Lukaku were all powerful beasts. We need that type to really set the tone for our fancy Dan's when things aren't going well.
In fact we need some real strength right down the centre of our spine. A beast of a CB and DM too. We really, really miss Dembele's power in the middle. It was the start of our decline imo. His presence always made Eriksen into a better player. It's no coincidence that Eriksen has hugely declined since Dembele left.
