Modric naturally coming inside, Ekotto naturally bombing on and Corluka - very nearly a CB anyway, shuffling along to make a solid back 3.

Can't see there being much in this one? Doubt this position is a massive priority for us right now and it seems that the club have slightly more ambitious targets (Dybala/Fernandes) to take Eriksen's place in the squad.... Unless Levy is planning on doing a Schneiderlin/Stambouli jobby! ;)

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Turkish international goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, according to Hurriyet, with the Trabzonspor number one emerging as a potential long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris.

The French World Cup winner will be out for the remainder of 2019 after suffering a sickening dislocated elbow in last week’s 3-0 collapse at Brighton and Hove Albion.

But if there is one positive Spurs fans can take out of the situation, it’s that it might force the club to consider life without a long-serving shot-stopper who continues to look past his best with mistakes creeping into Lloris’s game at an alarming rate.

Paulo Gazzaniga is a solid enough back-up but Cakir could perhaps be a more suitable long-term successor for Lloris with the 23-year-old performing miracles almost on a weekly basis in Turkey.

Cakir, who has one cap for his country, hasn’t kept a clean sheet this season but he’s conceded just nine goals in seven games with Trabzonspor’s erratic defence indebted to a goalkeeper who is arguably the best in the country right now.

According to the Star, amid interest from Liverpool too, Cakir will cost around £14 million but that is a small price to pay for a man who could be Spurs’ number one for years to come.

Talk that Juve are willing to offer Rabiot in any deal for Eriksen. Given that the guy does not want to play as a #6 (his mummy says he's not one), I cannot see where the fudge we could shoe horn him in. If Juve offered a decent RB, CB or forward then maybe, but not a CM and not Rabiot.

Pretty sure I saw in the summer he sacked her off because she was doing more harm than good?

Either way, that Juve are willing to move him on already is damning of him to say the least.
 
Report: Spurs keen on highly-promising Crystal Palace striker

Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in young Crystal Palace striker Zion Atta.

teamTALK report that the 14-year-old was on the radar of Spurs before Palace signed the promising forward from Millwall last summer.

Despite his relatively young age, Atta is expected to line up for the Eagles Under-18 side during the season.

Emirates Marketing Project, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are all keen on Atta, who looks set to stay at Selhurst Park with the player and his family happy with how things are progressing in South London.

Tottenham have raised Palace in the past for promising talent which did not work out as planned.

In 2008, Spurs announced that they had signed the highly-rated 16-year-old John Bostock after became Palace’s youngest-ever player aged just 15 years, 287 days when he came on as a replacement against Watford on 29th October 2007.

The midfielder failed to make the grade in North London and did not make a single Premier League appearance for the club and can now be found playing in the Championship for Nottingham Forest on loan from French side Toulouse (BBC).
 
Danny Mills says that he is not convinced Wolves defender Willy Boly is good enough to be playing for a top-four side as Tottenham plot transfer missions over a potential deal.

The former Emirates Marketing Project and England full-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that the French powerhouse has looked “erratic” at times this season and that he is not sure whether he is ready for the step up.

As revealed by Football Insider, Spurs are set to keep a close eye on the French powerhouse with a number of scouting missions over the next couple of months as they weigh up launching a move to sign the centre back.

Despite being a mainstay for Nuno Espirito Santo during the club’s impressive first season back in the Premier League, Mills says that he has not seen enough from the 28-year-old to suggest he is a top-four quality defender.

Mills told Football Insider: “I look at Boly and yes, he had a decent season last season, but I’m not 100 per cent convinced he’s ready for the step up to top-four and Champions League football.

“Of late, in the early part of the season, he’s made one or two errors, been a little bit erratic at times with some of those decisions. Is he good enough to go into the Tottenham side? I suppose if you’re going to lose Vertonghen or Alderweireld, he could play alongside Sanchez perhaps.

“I haven’t looked at Boly and thought he goes into one of the top four sides. He’s done very, very well for Wolves but I haven’t seen him and gone: ‘Oh wow.'”

Boly played in all but two of Wolves’ Premier League games last season as the newly-promoted outfit earned a place in this term’s Europa League qualifiers.

He has continued to be a regular in the starting XI at Molineux, with 14 appearances under his belt already across all competitions.
