The transfer thread

Then why would we want him? Bergvall and gray have both said their preferred position is as an 8. Add sarr, bentancur...
Because we play 3 players
Maybe it will be Bergvall at a flexible 10 with maddsion
Gray and Bissouma
And Sarr and Ramsey

Maybe we want rid of Bentacur
Maybe Gray will end up playing everywhere

Who knows.

Ramsey is a quality player. Massively under rated because of his injury. Him, Kamara and Luiz was a great midfield

It's Ramsay really that good, that we'd give them GLC and so much cash?
GLC is hard to shift.
Ramsey for £20m plus GLC off the wage bill is good business.
He's also pretty good. If he doesn't quite reach the heights he'll have a £10/15m sell on.
As a player, I like him.

One half of McFred - the most derided CM pairing in EPL history?
I think it's fair to say he would be an underwhelming signing. In his defence though Fred proved to be the issue and McT has shown a good eye for goal for club and country. He does also switch off once a game though. So he'd be this season's Dier I guess.

I think it's a good deal for both sides. We get a young English player who has a high ceiling IMO and Emery gets Lo Celso who he really rates. If he can get Lo Celso on the pitch for more than 5 games a season then fair play to him.....
And now just you watch GLC not miss a single game with an injury next season.

From what I have been reading, though, it looks like this is just rehashed news from a few weeks ago.

Noone with a decent reputation is reporting it, and didn't when it first came about either.

I have just ignored it, like lots of other rumours from those accounts

He's down as an attacking midfielder. Where he has played the majority of games. Is that wrong?
Looking at the area of the pitch Ramsey occupies (narrow left) and the type of player he is (a runner with decent ball usage) i wonder if he's actually being considered as Udogie's cover/competition?

The thing with young players is that they have yet to specialise and are versatile to try different variations of play. Might make them better, might make them worse, a lot of things can happen.

Doubt it
He is all about the hard running
He is also two footed

Which one ?
The French kid or the Dutch kid?

The french one no one had heard of until very recently and I doubt anyone has seen him play unless your a scout
Was wanted by and expected to go to Madrid. She didn’t want United but they offered silly ,ones, more so when he only had a year left

The Dutch guy is a decent little player but not sure how he will do here or even play here. He was at Bayern but did 5 break through and had several loans. Doesn’t start for Holland and their striker options are poor, but that could be the manager of course
The French defender they signed i saw a few times last season, looked good but hard to tell how high he will go in the game.

It's alot of money for the Dutch lad, I get that opens me up for "they are paying for what they need" but alot of it feels like them just overpaying as they have recently.

A lot of clubs see it's Man Utd and up the price by 5m.

More than that. They also know Utd will eventually pay.
We might criticise levy for it but clubs know spurs will just walk away if they don’t think the price is right. Or spend the whole window haggling.

United had to pay a load more to get that CB. Madrid and a few teams had been after him but they blew them out the water with that 50m. If he doesn't work out they will look stupid and add that to the list of money wasted over recent years
