I didnt suggest that he would be a replacement for that departure. TBC whether he could work with Hitchen e.g. using some split of geographies or similar
I have been very unimpressed with Hitchen.

Stevenage is worse tbh...I have been very unimpressed with Hitchen.
I'd still take him. One of my all time faves.
One of my favourites too, but wouldnt take him back at 35.
GLC offers the same skills, tenacity and same position, albeit less experienced. I don't see any reason to take Modric back

Excellent on FM21. Liverpool have snapped him up and he’s ripping up the league.Kang-in Lee who plays for Valencia, no idea if he is any good but it could help shift a few more shirts in Asia.
Not sure why this is all in bold.
Comparing GLC and Modric is like comparing a Ford with a Porsche. One of my favourites too, but wouldnt take him back at 35.

Ginter would be ideal IMO.I've been doing a bit of CH scouting (from the foreign leagues) and what does stand out is there are many CHs that are similar in profile to what Sanchez was when at Ajax. They are either at the stage Sanchez was or have already had a circa £30m move but really based on only 80-100 first class games.
We paid £40m for Sanchez having played just 36 games for Ajax, an easier league and if you're playing for the best team in that league, a higher chance of looking good. Obviously there is a bit more depth to a signing than just the bare facts BUT it does feel a lot of money for something that is largely potential?
Obviously a fully proven quality CH (not that there are many) would cost a fortune BUT maybe someone that is 28/29, not top level, but you know what you're getting would be better. Then supplement that with Tanganga type academy prospect or Rondon (when compared profile wise to Sanchez etc actually looks good value for his fee) type purchases. The ROI looks better?
Wonder whether Levy will try to take advantage of the cash crisis in French football to help Jose.
Problem will be shipping out 1 or 2 non-HG players. I'd like us to replace Moura and Lamela, though not sure whether we'd be able to find any takers....
You'd think someone could be hoodwinked in to buying Moura off the back of his Ajax exploits alone
And china has a new wages issueWould need to be Chinese or Middle-Eastern given the sort of fees Levy asks for
Thought hitchen was more of broker? And Campos more of a football director?
Just don’t give Gazzaniga a squad place and that’s one overseas place freed up straight away. I’d happily do the same with Lamela seeing as he’s available for less than a third of our games anyway but doubt Levy would go for that with him likely to be on £70 odd grand a week.Wonder whether Levy will try to take advantage of the cash crisis in French football to help Jose.

And the Ford keeps breaking down.Comparing GLC and Modric is like comparing a Ford with a Porsche.
Agree. He might come because Jose is here BUT more importantly he'll be here if Jose goes. Employing the best people in their field, usually works.I would like to see some ruthlessness from Levy and him going out and getting Campos. If that means no job for Hitchen then so be it. We have the opportunity to get the best DoF in football here to add to having the best stadium and one of the best training grounds. This is too big an opportunity to miss out on and could be especially useful with the current state of football finances in France.
