Exciting game with some amazing skills on display.

....and yet, I find something unsatisfying about Spanish football. It just seems so much more structured and less free flowing than English football. It always looks strangely straight-jacketed, even with all those individual skills on show. Can't quite put my finger on it but it doesn't push my buttons for some reason.

Bale looks the part on the same pitch as these guys, but I think he's being seriously underused. Not on the ball nearly enough. And I don't know why he doesn't try his trade mark blistering runs more, because I still think he'd skin defenders however good they are.

But then you could argue that most of the games in the PL between the top sides were often tight nit affairs with the one moment of brilliance or a mistake separating the sides.

I thought this was football at it's best in terms of technical ability.
