Not really, not going into researching it, however always had an understanding (through things I've read, seen in tv, Aussies I know) that they have a pretty extensive sporting programme in schools and have major emphasis on it, not quite at US levels but still big.

Anyway, important things, rutherford has done it another gold, wonderful. Was he expected to win any medal at all?

The Aussie sporting culture is a myth. They go to the beach and enjoy a barby. 2nd most obese nation on earth.
