Seriously, just because you don't recognise every arena in Beijing, Athens or Sydney doesn't mean they're inferior. But I'll let you all wallow in your own self indulgence as this thread really is a bore.

Let's be honest, no other Olympics can boast the history of stadiums like us. Places like Wimbledon put London on another level IMO

Look why does every olympics have to be the best? Some Olympics will be better than others. Each country has different traditions, venues, history etc.

This is a very good olympics thus far. Anyways this aint really the thread for it - you can only truly decide that at the end of the Olympics.

I have definitely enjoyed far more than I thought I would have but doesnt make it the 'best'

Not saying it's the best, just that we have the widest array of stadia with the most history. I don't think anyone can argue that!

But yeah, in terms of the entire Olympics - that is obviously very disputable. For Britons, this will obviously be the best as it's in our back garden!

If we dont beat our medal tally from 2008 then I doubt this will be the best olympics from a sporting view point FOR US. In terms of a spectacle and eventing then yeah its up there but best olympics? thats still to be decided.

There is a lot of hype and im not one to burst that hype and wont even attempt to - each to their own etc HOWEVER it has been very good - especially the swimming and rowing which ive been watching continuously
