The Official Olympic Thread

Pendleton looks very good. She won her two races in different ways, from the front and over the top. Meares doesn't look like she did at the World Championships. The Chinese rider doesn't look strong and might not have qualified (was she one of the two yesterday?).

I'm just saying I reckon Britain's pursuit team from 4 years ago is faster than this team. The fast track and improvements in bike and helmet technology is what is giving them the world records. Britain is so far ahead of the rest when it comes to this scientific cycling to a time schedule like this.
 
The Keirin final should be a good contest between Meares and Pendleton.

Our mens pursuit team should bag gold.

Its ridiculous how fast we are at cycling, nice to dominate a sport. Shame we got DQ yesterday, could have swept up all medals on both days.
 
What's better than winning a Gold medal?

Winning a gold medal and fudging smashing the brick out of the Aussies
