Another player who has hardly played and worst of all played for LFC is called upto the squad, Stephen Kelly..

Seriously what is Woy doing !!!

Liverpool's Martin Kelly has been added to the squad for Saturday's friendly.

Erm, wow.

Wiki tells me he had 10 League appearances last season. In total, 22 Prem matches for Liverpool in last 3 seasons.

I suppose he must be a talent (he's 22) and of course it's good to have young players being brought through or given a go, but what a bizarre, bizarre situation that a player with that record is on the radar for a place at a major championship for a major nation. If he was 22 and played 30 games last season you might think ok. But 10 games? Wow.

Think he's quite a good player and has looked very good when he's played people talked about blooding in youngsters then when he does it complain.

Why not Naughton? He's been a regular for Norwich all season. There must be a few others out there as well that are just as promising/good as Kelly who aren't depending on everyone else being out to get a game.

Kelly is joining the squad just for the experience. I think Richards is past all that, im sure he is enjoying a wicked holiday with his buddies

I was laughed at few weeks ago at the suggestion of RH being an absolutely terrible choice but to be quite fair looking at some of his team selection so far and the fact he seems dead-set on to play Gerrard and Lampard in the middle of his 150 year old favourite 4-4-2, a midfield pairing which hasn't worked fudging once in a decade - well, I can only imagine what would happen against a fluid 4-2-3-1 = most likely utter humiliation much like in South Africa.

The counter-argument was - 'he has international experience'. Yes, managing the mighty Swiss in a no-pressure environment akin to Wigan or Swansea. And that was 20 years ago, things have moved on a little as much as many like to deny.

Arry would have been an exponentially better option, imv than this behemoth - someone who can motivate the squad within a limited timeframe, appears liked and respected by many of the players (extremely improtant), media favrourite (even more important) and would have been able to draw on his experience with us as far as utlising something different than a 4-4-fudging 2 goes

I sincerely doubt England would manage to crawl out of the group stages with this man / squad in place and the fact the got offered a 4 year deal suggests the FA could be too stingy to drop kick him hence the'd stick around for at least 2-3

Terrible, terrible appointment
