Not needed IMO

The British Boxing Board of Control will be introducing a new Championship Weight Class with effect from 1st January 2027.
Added: Sep 15, 2026, 4:28:57 PM,

The new division will be placed between the current Light Heavyweight division of 12st 7lbs, and the Cruiserweight division of 14st 4lbs.

Light Cruiserweight will have a Championship limit of 13st 5lbs (187lbs), and as such will bridge the current largest weight gap between two divisions in the sport (25lbs) and will be available across Area, English, Celtic and British Titles.

For all the talk of Turki and White being so good at combat sport, they have had their pants pulled with Benn and Fisher in Zuffa deals, absolutely horrible pair of fighters.

As for the AJ v Fury stuff, ridiculous way of negotiating a fight

Jeez, get this bloke away from a mic

Poor old Dana was able to control the media at UFC, can't do that in boxing as he's still a small fish.. the card he put on Sky last night shows that.

Despite him being Turki's latest infatuation, he has had nothing to do with the Fury Joshua fight finally being staged. Frank, Eddie and their teams have sorted all this. Dana can get in the bin.

Shows what a joke boxing has become, 2 has been fighters arguing over little details. Just need to get on with it, should have been done 5 years ago.

Boxing has always been a bit of a circus. The issue isn't so much the boxers themselves - The Saudis signed separate deals with Fury, AJ and the broadcaster and the differences in each of those contracts makes it a bit of a clusterfudge. As an example Fury's contract and Netflix contract says the fight can be anywhere, but AJs contract says only in the UK.

Who knows whether it all gets sorted, but this fight is well past it's sell by date regardless.....

I do think its partly the boxers fault, if they really want to get a fight on then they can tell their promoter to sort it out - the promoter in theory works for the boxer.

The whole setup is perfection, you get boxers going 2 years without a fight hogging the belts, always ducking or coming up with excuses.

Shame Crawford retired, he was one of the few that was happy to fight anyone.
