*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

Glad some computer somewhere still thinks we will not get relegated , has it actually watched us play, has it seen our midfield sliced open by intelligent running.

Meanwhile, simulation suggest Wolves' relegation to the Championship is a done deal with, them going down on 99.98% on occasions.
Burnley are also a shoo-in for relegation at 98.05% while West Ham have a 69.38% chance to drop down.
Nottingham Forest currently have a 25% chance of getting relegated followed by Tottenham (5.02%) and Leeds (2.05%).

It’s the officiating that’s the problem. It’s the players job to work any advantage they can.

The refs have to see this stuff and apply the laws.

Then it stops.

More VAR is the answer.

I read on BBC that VAR is not there to eliminate inconsistencies so I can't see how more of it will help.
Every week there are similar incidents with varying decisions, some clubs and players appear to suffer while others benefit with subjective/whims of officals.

they need to let VAR control the game, make the ref a walking whistle blower

analyse everything from every angle, when a law was infringed, stop the game and go back

if everything gets caught, attempts to cheat will soon stop

Smart of the Brighton manager to put ASSnal’s time wasting antics in the media spotlight before their match tomorrow…
