The Official 2022/23 Premier League Thread

So many infringements and subs , running down the clock. Game management has improved for the goons.
Diaz and Trent going off injured was a big factor, two of their most creative players off the field.

Diaz going off swung it in their favour, and Trent and Salah being useless.
They've got Leeds, Southampton and Forest next :(

Liverpool look awful.

John Barnes said it was a much better performance from the Dippers. I only saw the second half but Woolwich dingdonged them.

Probably shows why Barnes doesn’t get many punditry gigs and failed so badly as a manager.

Arse have started very, very well - then again, we're only four points behind them after having played away matches against three of the other top six teams + the annual West Ham cup final.

They're in a good position, but so are we - arguably a better position considering our fixtures.

With 29 games left, it's way to early to hand out medals, CL qualification and relegations anyway. As every season, there will be plenty of banana skins, injuries, VAR controversies and whatnot before the final whistle.

If there is a redeeming feature in the scoreline it is that Pool may fade from the race for the top 4, meaning that the top 6 is down to 5 for places in next season's Champions League...............

Was thinking similarly;City, chelsea, goons and us - who do you think will be the fifth?
