The Official 2019/20 Premier League Thread

Can't believe it took so long to come to the decision to call it off. Not like dangerous conditions haven't been predicted all week.

Dangerous conditions ? 10 degrees, Rain and 12-15 meters per second wind. That's a nice summer day up here! Almost every game would be called off here if those conditions where considered dangerous!
Obviously it's significantly more grim up North, but I've just been out and it's fine. Not exactly shorts weather (unless you're that tool who always wears shorts all year round) but far from dangerous.

I'd call it difficult conditions. I'm not in Manchester, but from what I've seen on tv and pictures, it looked nothing serious, and very much playable conditions.

Just had a look through numerous Web cams and weather stations in Manchester. It's windy but There's blue sky from all the cameras I've seen! Calling off the game is a joke imo! Example snapshot from a camera outside of Manchester Airport

It's not like Sheffield is far from Manchester, and they've managed it.

Silver lining is West Ham can save up a nice away game at the Etihaad for when they're in the thick of a relegation battle.
