The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

When you see their team and how much they have spent, by rights we should not be near them. Let alone 8pts ahead, but let the media ignore that and try and brainwash everybody into thinking we blew it...

I've said it a lot but spend has no correlation to quality

Try have spent a lot of money on some shocking players

They will continue to do so too as they don't this league. Their success rate for transfers is really poor but the quality signings paper over that (at a massive cost)

If United win the EL finishing outside the top 4 it won't make any difference to the 4th place team - they will start in the play-off round as normal, which for Liverpool could well mean being unseeded and facing the likes of Sevilla, Napoli or Dortmund.

This is why whenever people have said that the top 4 has been the target, I've always said it should be top 3. The teams you could get in the CL plays can be very difficult unless you're an established CL team

If Palace had 3pts less, they would have been right in it, as it is, 38pts should see them home. If Swansea hang on to this lead it gets even more interesting
Yup, Hull would have to win both their final games to overtake Palace; so Allardyce's boys can start their summer holiday without even attaining 40 points this season.

If they beat Palace, would it be worth it to see Fat Sam relegated just once?
