The Official 2015/16 Premier League Thread

Mate the league has been so funny this year anything could happen. When we needed to win to stay in the title race we didn't whereas West Brom played out their skin to stop us despite having nothing to play for. Chelsea are just Cnuts.
Yup. We get what we get. It's the Tottenham way.

Sorry yeah. Fat Sam has been around at Sunderland longer than I thought.

DeAndre Yedlin has seen his fair share of ups and downs since joining Sunderland on-loan from Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of this season. After getting minutes at the start of the season, his minutes began to dwindle until he was strictly relegated to bench duty.

Sunderland manager, Sam Allardyce, came out in the media and specifically singled out Yedlin for his inexperience in the thick of a relegation race. He used that as the excuse as to why he hadn't been getting steady minutes. Whispers of Sunderland sending him back to Spurs even popped up. Eventually, the club's right back, Billy Jones, picked up an injury and Yedlin would once again get his chance.

Ever since a home win over Manchester United on February 13, in which Yedlin started, he has been a fixture in the Black Cats' starting lineup. His performances have drawn compliments from many pundits. It hasn't been all sunshine and roses as he has had a few struggles along the way, but he's getting valuable experience in this relegation battle.

No doubt he'll do a Redknapp and take all the credit he can get though.

I've been watching (too much) of Sunderland recently and Yedlin is really finding his feet in the division. Looks a proper PL fullback now.

Not seen any winger or left-back give him a hard time since his early games for Sunderland. His forward play is not to bad either.

fudge off and die in a house fire Ashley you fudging clam. Take Charnley with you and half the players.

Gregg You must be gutted but not knowing a lot about the goings on at Saudi Sportswashing Machine, why do you blame Ashley? He spent in excess of 70million this year to support McLaren but it didn't work out. His only mistake was not replacing McLaren sooner

Here's the real thing. A Saudi Sportswashing Machine team with a chance to stay up might play above their level and beat us. Or attack so much that they leave space for us to exploit and beat them. Or, an already relegated team might shut up shop so as not to lose. Or they might be so shot of confidence and depressed that we can pick them off and exploit them.
Here's the real thing: we'll either win, or lose, or draw. :p

Sunderland result for us is a good one for us. Now it will literally be the most Spurs-y thing ever if we don't finish second.

If Liverpool don't win the Europa League then it looks as though neither them nor Chelsea will be in Europe next season. That'll hopefully give us an advantage in the transfer market this summer, but next season they won't have the distraction of European football to impact on their campaign in the same way that Leicester have had this season and Liverpool had in their title push of 2013-14. Unless we play an absolute blinder in the window it's hard to see us finishing above both of them again next season to be honest...
