their fans maybe cruddy(?) but they deserve better than no goals in six games, no footy fan deserves that.

They should've long sacked Lambert.
It was nice to see Defoe scoring again in the PL. Always felt it was a big mistake by Defoe to go to MLS last season. He can still play 2 or 3 seasons in the top leagues.
Villa, Everton and Saudi Sportswashing Machine are 3 big clubs with no ambitions. It will be good for us if they remain so. They can easily rival us for a top 4 place if they want to. Remember the times when Saudi Sportswashing Machine used to finish ahead of us at the start of the PL era ? Don't want any of them to get relegated as they will bounce back strongly.
They should have gone for moyes while they had the chance, very similar to everton when he took over. Good on a budget aswell.
and get in who ?? can't think of anybody even half decent out there currently
Disagree. Villa go down and that'll be it for them.

All they would do is sell some of their players, Barkley etc would fetch a few mill.I agree, its inevitable, they may survive another year or two, but they really look like they will fade out now.
Everton is the interesting one, if the Martinez experiment goes wrong, they don't have a lot of funds to course correct, could see them drop to mid table, lower mid table.
