The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

United look average, like they have lost belief in themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if Ferguson has to step in again before Christmas. Humiliation looms for Moyes...

That United team looked stale and ordinary today. I don't think it's good that Giggs is still in there as an automatic starter. Young has looked out of his depth at United for quite a while now. And while Wellbeck might be talented and promising, he still looks lost up front a lot of the time. And their bench today:

13 Lindegaard
12 Smalling
28 Buttner
08 Anderson
17 Nani
25 Valencia
14 Hernandez

You can't exactly say that switching any of them into the starting 11 would have changed things much. Rooney makes a big difference of course, but overall there's just an underwhelming, non-scary look to them at the moment. Desperately need freshening up.

Gerrad looks better in a further back role, where he can just sit and pass. As good as he was going forward he was always the main focus of their attacks and hogged the ball a bit to much.

I thought Liverpool would do better this season and i like coutinho and also rodgers so im kind of happy for them, as long as well do well as well i would rather see liverpool in the top 4 then arsenal or city, but maybe it could be man u to drop out they do not have a killer edge when rvp is no on song.

Ferguson got out at the right time, really think moyes needs a top quality forward.

I actually reckon we could do them also im convinced fergie knew what was coming.

Think the young lad powell should be given a chance, i really like him, wonder if moyes will go for barkley.

helder postiga with 2 cracking goals for valencia against barca, my last memory of him playing for us was being muscled off the ball in a NLD

England U21s looking comfortable and winning 1-0 at HT.

Looking at the players and doing a brief scouting as well as basing it on players who have made it previously at this level, I am willing to say that only about half of this starting eleven will make it to Premier League level and play consistantly.

Butland, Shaw, Ward-Prowse, Zaha, Redmond.

This guy really could have been the greatest of all time :(

Why not Carroll?

Stones looks okay. I've seen many promising footballers look good for England youth teams though and end up doing **** all. Justin Hoyte ALWAYS looked good for the youth sides, like ridicously good, a right sided Ashley Cole. Where on earth is he even playing nowadays.

Carroll has been the stand out player this half.

I thought he was the stand out player 1st half personally but he's certainly been one of the best performers overall tonight. He should make it in the PL, hopefully with us but he might not be given a chance considering the amount of players we have in his position.

Will Hughes is class, just something about him, makes it look easy. Some damn talent in central midfield and it's refreshing that we have small talented passing footballers as opposed to big powerful ones.

He's not been as good since he's dropped deeper to accommodate Hughes.
