If Bale's cross to Defoe at the Etihad had been two inches further back, we'd currently be second, two points off United in first.

Maybe it's a bit premature to write off our chances as most of the pundits have now done, but I still prefer see teams below us drop points at the moment.

I don't suppose there's much chance of Bolton doing us a favour tomorrow. I fear they play too open a game to get anything against the goons.

Surprise surprise Chelsea get a lucky deflected goal, as ive said many times they are the luckiest team in the league

it's more important for us that city drop points than united. with us having united at home still we're within touching distance of them and if we've any pretensions of winning the title we have to be winning that game

Manchini seems to be floundering under the pressure. Not sure if that is good or bad, because if they fail can see them getting Mourhino in - which obviously will make then even more lovable! Immediate priority is to see Bolton turn the gooners over tomorrow.

Phil Thompson

Did anyone watch the Soccer Special last night?

Tommo did our game and was very complimentry....

but

He could not resist to bring the BAE tackle up, saying the FA need to look at it etc etc. They had even moved on to Mers and he made them come back to him to say it.

Obvious to me he knows we go to Liverpool next and wants to get BAE banned.

Pardew has had a similar pop at Stubbs regarding Cabaye vs Brighton.

Even though pundits have to talk about incidents, all this calling for the FA to act on TV (like people did the RVP, Mario, Lescott etc in last couple weeks) makes me think that we have almost got video technology in place now with the amount of incidents.

I thought he was a taco, he was supposed to be talking about our game but was banging on about Liverpool. Then started going on about how we were getting sloppy when at that point we had only made one really sloppy header back towards goal.

The BAE thing was the icing on the cake, obviously wants him out for the pool game

To be fair he's commenting on our game and that could well be seen as a fairly major part of it. Like Arcy said, though, if the FA show any sort of consistency he'll be fine.

Both BAE and Malouda's tackle look bad in slow motion. But in reality they are just prodding out a foot to take the ball and its just a little late. It looks way worse than any intention behind it. Unlike the two footed challenges that can be stopped and the scissor tackles this kind of block tackle is common place and hard to eradicate unless you want no tackling at all.

Adams and Gerrard (CAPTAIN MARVELOUS) will have a right go at Modric and Bale equally.

Unpunished, needless to say.

Cathedral of football, blood and guts, bestest fans in the world, what makes this league special, blah blah blah. You know the drill.

I'd like to absolutely cut Adams in two during a game of footy, kneehigh, studs up, 2 feet. I weigh 84 kg's so I doubt his cruciates would stand for that. Now, that would be something "special" for Hansen and Thompson to toss themselves about.

He's been despicably dirty this season and almost always goes unpinished. Can only imagine what he'll serve up for our wingers on Monday

Ugly cnut

Mourinho to Emirates Marketing Project, Mancini to Spurs, Redknapp to England

So its Bales fault we lost the Title...typical Spurs fan.....now you want him sold dont you, even after yesterday.

I'd take Mancini any day - they're playing good football this season and scoring for fun. Arguably the second best to watch after us

All Citys hard work, and a week later its square one. If we can put together another "4th" end of season run, who knows..?
