I'm disgusted by this really. It's just revolting behaviour which shouldn't be tolerated............ In reality I'm ecstatic by this news and hope levy makes a bid ASAP.

Who is Samba going to replace in our starting line-up / better yet - where would he fit in the pecking order - behind or ahead of Dawson (3)?

I'd think that he would be ahead of Dawson at the moment. I would also play him against any physical team and any team we are struggling to break down. Think of some of the goals that VDV has scored from Crouch knockdowns. Then imagine having Ade and VDV in the area with Samba bringing the ball down...

he'll probably be crap in the air once he plays for us...everyone who comes here turns into crap in the air..

Haha true.

King, Kaboul, Daws, Bassong, Huddlestone, Bale, Ade should all be regular scorers from corners. Even Pav.

Its a joke really

yep its bad behaviour no doubt.

blackburn dont have to sell but if they do we should bid. all footballers are mercenaries, its the clubs that need to take a firm stand

Didn't Gallas mouth off in a similar way ....going on about own goals and things? He seems to have been accepted here despite that attitude.

personally not the greatest fan of Samba as not convinced he offers anything more than Dawson and we need a Ledley replacement more but he does a job in the EPL and the Venkys have shafted Blackburn since their takeover

Why is anyone surprised by this? I accepted a long time ago that 99% of footballers are mercenaries which is why stories like these dont get more than a passing interest from me.

I didn't think we were that desperate for a centre back anyway, but I wouldn't have had any complaints if we'd got him in. Now though, sod him, really wouldn't want someone with that kind of attitude at the club (IF those words are accurate, it is in The Sun).

I think football is a bit different though because you have fans paying hard earned money to come and see you play. So even if the club has messed you around a bit, and you want to leave, you should still put the effort in for the fans.

In most jobs, unless you're in the public sector 8-[, you are either providing a service or making a product that someone is paying good money for. Just because his wages are obscenely high, it doesn't mean he should just stick it out. How he goes about showing his displeasure is another thing.

There have only been a handful of players in the history of the game who could claim to score regularly from corners. I'm more concerned with how our centre backs defend.

So am I.

My point was that out of King, Kaboul, Daws, Bassong, Huddlestone, Bale, Ade and Pav, all big lads, I could probably count 3 headed goals from King, 2 from Dawson, and 1 from Bassong off the top of my head.

Its something we could improve from. Not sure why you seem have a bee in your bonnet over it.

The only difference between this and Modric's situation is Modric did not say he wanted to leave just that he wanted to sign for Chelsea (IMO there is a difference) Modric cracked on because he played for a side challenging Chelsea, who are Blackburn challenging?

I think if Barca had wanted Modric we may have had the same sort of outcome.

Hello,

Dont understand how people could blame Samba for current situation. There are two parties involved in negotiations, and each one has to uphold promises given (verbal or written). It is now clear that Venky's brothers are 2 puppets in a great play that is evolving around Blackburn, and Samba is the one duped here. He has every wright to do what he has done and being outspoken about it. He tried the better way, saying in privet he wont's to leave and was publicly told to f* off. Now he is publicly saying why he wont's to go. All good in my book.

I have to agree with you there.. In my book it goes something like this...

=> Venky's buy blackburn
=> Venky's promise to improve the squad so the current players will stay
=> Venky's don't improve the squad
=> The players want to leave

Hardly seems like rocket science...
