I love how everyone is saying Savic is the worst defender ever when he's only 21 years old, been in the country for less than a year and played a dozen games. Such a sad attitude these days that players are written off before they've even been given a chance.
I remember everyone writing off Vidic in the same way

Absolutely. He's been a very different kind of brick to Luiz. Savic has looked jumpy and edgy and has subsequently given the ball away a fair bit. Possession retention will come to him with age, match practice and confidence. Basic positional sense will never come to David Luiz. I'd much rather have Savic.
