Sunderland, Everton and Swansea all closing in on Liverpool in the last few weeks. Liverpool outside the Magnificent 7 (Sky TM)? Yes please!

Also, Jamie Redknapp after the Utd match made himself look incedibly silly.

"Someone should have realised it would be trouble and just not let the handshake go ahead at all. If you met a stranger down the street would you shake their hand? No, so why would you on a football pitch?!"

What an idiot. The handshake is in there all about the idea of fair play and sportsmanship. A player being an ignorant thug is no good reason to cancel a tradition like that.

The gooners kit is horrendous, is this the first time they've worn it?

There must be something about "125th Anniversary" two-tone kits that's catching!!
(at least OURS was a classier version of summit we actually WORE in the 1880's!)

He said that? That has got to be one of the most stupidest things I've ever heard in my life

Jamie Redknapp has clearly got too big for his own boots now after being told once or twice yesterday that he is to be the new England captain!

signed a contract last week.

So did Pav before we sold him!!

...and by that reckoning, the FA can look somewhere else, 'cos I assume Harry's staying around to honour the remaining 15 months on HIS contract? (though I realise he hasn't JUST extended it!)

I think we're all more than aware that signing/extending a contract is no more than ensuring more money IF you leave... loyalty schmoyalty!

you dont think he would show swansea some loyalty after just signing it?

Possibly, he seems quite an honourable type and they have not only given him a great opportunity but shown a lot of sensitivity with the loss of his dad etc.

Ultimately though, as with players, all a contract is worth is ?ú?ú?ú

Exactly. Contracts are not worth the paper theyre written on these days.

I remember loads of people saying we should have brought him when we got Pavlyuchenko ("We got the wrong Russian!!")

Im very interested to see how he does now.

Yep, I would much rather have bought him than Pav, though wasn't all that sold on either. Will be interesting to see how he does now.

Yes, abandoning the handshake would be the Sepp Blatter way of doing things. Only having a handshake if everyone's friends makes a nonsense of having it in the first place and abandoning it would be allowing the cheats to win.

Jamie is a bit of a lemon I'm afraid to say.
