It was a genius tackle by rio ferdinand, partly because he got the ball but he also took the player down.

If rio doesn't take suarez down there i'd reckon he's favourite to get the ball.

And that is exactly why it is a free kick isn't it? He gets a bit of the ball, but doesn't get it clear. I am not even sure he got the ball first. Looks like ho went through Suarez to get the ball. Free kick and possibly a red card.

to be fair, liverpool know how to win at old trafford.. wish we could win there as frequently as they have recently.

Scholes is gonna re-retire sooner or later isn't he? Might as well break Suarez's legs first. A ban is pretty meaningless if you're not gonna play anymore anyway ;)

ound it funny that Neville laughed off Redknapp's judgment of the Ferdidnand 'foul' - was never a foul. Would be the softest sending off in professional football if Jamie was the referee.

some classics from rawk:

"I spar for martial arts pretty often, and a kick the same strength as the one Luis dished out will wind you, but definitely will not cause you to burst out screaming in pain.""

"I wish he did mean to kick Parker. I hope he would have booted him in the head."

"Suarez at the start.

Absolute class. Love him."

Well in Luis. fudge off Evra

Suarez doesn't shake Evra's hand! HAHA fudge off Patrice.

Good man Luis

fudge off Evra you c*nt

Missed it all!! Turned over as the players were walking down the tunnel so my little boy can watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for 15 minutes and missed the fighting!! What could be seen?

Gary neville has to be the best new pundit to British football broadcasting of the last 5 years? He manages to be neutral even in big games (praising City players etc), accurately describing the passion of such encounters and manages to convey the understanding of such rivalries to a tee. Keep it up, Gary.
