They won't let Ramsdale leave, despite all the transfer talk they wouldn't be that stupid. What if Raya got injured on 1st Feb!? Arteta is just trying to say the right things but he won't have any intention of letting Ramsdale go until the summer, in my opinion. I am enjoying the issue it's causing them though

They always look good at the start and middle of the season. It's around March when they start to implode. I think they have yet to play Liverpool or Villa. Let's see how they have done after those games. Such a shame we have been decimated by injuries and suspensions and to two of of arguably our best players as well.
I liked it better when they used to take November off under Wenger. They'd sort of hang on to 4th through winter and have a little surge in spring to give everyone renewed hope for next season.
Think Brighton & Liverpool next for them in league

Mikel Arteta has escaped punishment following a Football Association charge after a post-match rant at refereeing standards.
The Arsenal manager labelled the decision to allow Anthony Gordon’s goal to stand in a 1-0 Premier League defeat at Saudi Sportswashing Machine on 4 November as “embarrassing” and a “disgrace”.
Arteta was duly charged by the FA for breaking Rule E3.1 - which could have resulted in a ban, but has instead been cleared of any wrongdoing.
“An independent Regulatory Commission has found the charge against Mikel Arteta for an alleged breach of FA Rule E3.1 to be not proven,” an FA statement read. The manager was charged following various comments in media interviews after Arsenal’s Premier League game against Saudi Sportswashing Machine on Saturday 4 November.
“It was alleged that his comments constituted misconduct in that they were insulting towards match officials and/or detrimental to the game and/or brought the game into disrepute.”

That is just ludicrous. If making the comments that he did publicly in an interview is deemed to be "not proven" in terms of misconduct or bringing the game into disrepute, then it's effectively a free-for-all. Any manager can now say the equivalent, comfortable that they can't get a ban.
Whilst there are undoubtedly issues with the quality/competency of some referees and the implementation of VAR, if I was referee and this was the level of protection I was getting, I'd seriously consider jacking it in.
