Tell that to Spatsky. He's just being honest, nobody can concentrate on anything for that long.
So not a single off focus thought enters your head? There are many professions - including mine - where absolute concentration is regularly required for considerably more than 45 minutes. It’s not easy but it’s entirely possible.
Much of the time we are working flat out for periods of up to 1.5 hours without respite, operating heavy machinery at high speed. I’m sure that there are occasional off focus thoughts but most of the time it’s like being in a time machine and an hour or two can ‘disappear’. We certainly don’t have 1-2 minutes of down-time every 10-15, as Ramsey states above. I admit that I sort-of get what he means, but I’m still surprised to hear him talk about it on camera and I’d certainly question his attention span vs suitability to be an elite sportsman. Maybe that lack of concentration is why he’s now Number 2 to a GK that can’t catch crosses or get his positioning right? So not a single off focus thought enters your head?
You don’t think about needing a tinkle, what time it is, eating, drinking, smoking, sex, did I lock the front door, when is VDV back?
Fair enough if true, you have a better trained brain than I do. I’m normally thinking about 5 different things at once.

Neuro diversity is well outside my knowledge area. Is Ramsdale neurodivergent then? Perhaps I missed something in the video (which now won’t play unless I visit Twitter, or whatever Musk is calling it this week).1 in 5 people are neuro divergent.
A lot of pro players will be same, he’s just being honest.
If Raya was concentrating 100% of the time he wouldn’t drop crosses or be in the wrong place.

I don’t dispute his honesty. Indeed, he seems a generally honest and quite likeable bloke. If he has found coping mechanisms that enable him to (in his view) function better throughout a game then that’s great for him. I’m not disputing how he copes; just saying that IMO it’s perfectly possible to concentrate fully for 45+ minutes.
As for Raya- maybe his concentration is 100%. Maybe it isn’t. Or maybe he’s not that good? I don’t know.
Bet David Raya can.
Errors of judgement and lapses of concentration are not the same thing.I’d say that that’s what mistakes are, losing concentration.
100% concentration equals 100% control.

How come this has taken weeks, while Ten Hag was handed a match ban almost instantly for something way less serious?
