The Game Is About Glory Podcast

You chaps get a mention during today’s View From the Lane podcast for performing well in the Most Swear Words in A Spurs Podcast table published this week, apparently registering an impressive 16 uses of the word “Bastard” in a single episode (the one following the Southampton away game, I think.)

Surely this deserves some sort of award? 😃

Yes indeed! The context is that we debated whether Johnson's weekend goal against Soton was a 'thunderbastard' :)...oh how I wish he'd thunder-fudging-bastarded it in on Thursday with an almost duplicate chance.

Melon Farmers
Season 5 Episode 42

Steff, Milo, and Ram look into the latest Tottenham trials, tribulations and tumult, with analysis of the good (Eintracht Frankfurt), the bad (Wolves), and the ugly (err, that’s Wolves again). There is also thought given to our incoming CEO, and the beam of light which is Lucas Bergvall. We also review our own performance as a pod during this bizarre season as TGIAG eyes a trophy!

A Good Friday To Be A Spurs Fan
Season 5 Episode 43

Steff and Milo give you something for the weekend, as we catch up for an impromptu pod about our fantastic night in Frankfurt which sees us through to the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Forest Frustration
Season 5 Episode 44

Steff and Milo crash the mics to throw down an instant reaction to the defeat against Forest. Steff goes wandering all over the place, Milo pulls it back into shape, and the conclusions are both honest and heartfelt. Maybe you’ll feel the same; you won’t know until you join us…

I was at the game, sat near the front row by the box. We did indeed look to be playing well, couldn't find a clinical finish till Richi close to the end. Vic looks short of confidence, again. Tel shaking his head as they came off and as large swathes of fans booed the team off. I just wonder why we changed the CB pairing at HT - odobert looked good, will be vital in the europa league games imho

Playing liverpool isn't ideal, i'm sure we would like to have winning momentum before bodo glimt - and then away to wet spam 🤦🏻‍♂️

No game until Sunday and we need to keep Danso and Davies match fit in case we need them in EL. At the same time, we need to wrap Romero and VDV up in cotton wool. I think we all knew Forest would retreat back to their own 18 yard box and our centre halves wouldn't be massively under pressure.

Be interesting to see what happens Sunday with that position.

I still think VDV needs to improve, still looks a bit raw, hasnt got the best decision making. I shake my head when Romero loses focus, he isnt confident with the back 5 i feel, hence wanting to move on

Is It Thursday Yet?
Season 5 Episode 45

Steff, Milo, and Gareth discuss expectations vs realities, pooformances vs the importance of not wallowing in them, hopes, dreams, the importance of moving on with air-fresheners, class A drugs and Gareth delivers a superb 90s corner which frankly stands as an education.
