The point is simple, we are buying big teams garbage and help them finance buying better players while they laugh at us. A team will never be bigger than us if they buy our Tanganga, Winks, Doherty etc.
We buy average players to finance their transfers which widen the gap between us. Spurs going for that Diaz guy was the only time in that transfer window we showed some character. Best player in Portugal, wanted by Liverpool in the summer, we went blitz after him. Didn't get him but we showed balls, not buying second hand players than others want to get rid off.
"But you don't know, maybe a Juve reserve might play good here". Yes they might, but take a look at the top teams, which is our goal of becoming. They don't buy reserve players from other teams, they buy the best player from a team. Doesn't always pay off, but the odds are it will.
