True, they did milk the singles for about 3 years!The two most popular singles. Not unlike Metallica with Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters.
They also released the singles You Could Be Mine, Yesterdays, Garden of Eden, The Garden, Dead Horse, Civil War, Estranged and my least favorite GNR track: Knockin on Heaven's Door. They really ought to stop playing that and Live And Let Die live.
They should probably have shown some restraint and saved the more obscure tracks for another stop gap album like Lies.
I Don't mind the album - it's just such an Alan Partridge rock album.
