Grace is the only complete studio album by Jeff Buckley, released on August 23, 1994. While the album initially had poor sales, peaking at number 149 in the U.S., and received mixed reviews,[1] it gradually acquired critical acclaim and commercial success and, as of 2007, had sold over 2 million copies worldwide. An extended version of the album (subtitled "Legacy Edition") celebrating its tenth anniversary was released on August 23, 2004, and it peaked at No. 44 in the UK.

Grace re-entered the albums chart in Australia at number 44 for the week of January 29 – February 5, 2007 – 13 years after its original release date. It is currently certified 7x Platinum in Australia.

Use Your Illusion I is the third studio album by the American rock band Guns N' Roses. It was the first of two albums released in conjunction with the Use Your Illusion Tour, the other being Use Your Illusion II. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts, selling 685,000 copies in its first week, behind Use Your Illusion II's first week sales of 770,000.[1]Use Your Illusion I has sold 5,502,000 units in the U.S. as of 2010, according to Nielsen SoundScan.[2] Each of the Use Your Illusion albums have been certified 7× Platinum by the RIAA. It was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1992.[3]

Use Your Illusion II is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Guns N' Roses. It was one of two albums released in conjunction with the Use Your Illusion Tour, along with Use Your Illusion I. Bolstered by the lead single "You Could Be Mine," Use Your Illusion II was the slightly more popular of the two albums, selling 770,000 copies its first week and debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. charts, ahead of Use Your Illusion I's first week sales of 685,000.[7] As of 2010, Use Your Illusion II has sold 5,587,000 units in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.[8] Both albums have since been certified 7× Platinum by the RIAA.[9] It was also No. 1 on theUK Albums Chart for a single week. It is the last Guns N' Roses album to feature rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin. It also included the last Guns N' Roses song to feature drummer Steven Adler, who played on "Civil War."

Grace. Use Your Illusion was the beginning of the end of one of the greatest rock bands ever.

To go from the brutal Appetite for Destruction to the piano and almost opera rock of Use Your Illusion was too much for me. For me, UYI was Axle's ego trip.

Two albums against one? o_O

The last great albums before rock died. For me 91 and and 92 were the final peak years of the golden age of music with Guns, Metallica, Faith No More, Soundgarden, Bon Jovi, Alice In Chains and many more dropping classic albums. MTV still showing music videos.

Many of the songs were from the Appetite era, with Don't Cry for instance written back in 86 (IIRC the record company and producer Mike Clink had a hard time convincing Axl that it didn't fit on AFD). November Rain had been in the works since then as well. While UYI I is a bit long, it holds up better. Almost too much diversity on the second one. Wouldn't have hurt to streamline them a bit and save a few of the songs for later. At the time though, it was every fan's wet dream. Two and a half hours of new music. You just don't get tracks like Coma, Estranged or Locomotive these days.

Not great GnR albums and I've never got on with Grace. I don't know how I am going to vote on this one.

Few more...

Possibly the most overrated artist ever to have existed.

There's one decent track on that album and it's Hallelujah - the track that's so impossible to make bad that X Factor tossers sing it at every opportunity. I could fart that song and it would sound good.

Guns for sure. Amazing memories of my youth, listening, learning to play and sing the songs to get all the girls. Getting none of them...

I thought David Bowie was the most overrated artist evercto have existed?

Overblown has a long and influential history in rock music.

There's no room for whiney

Most overblown music turns me off, I'm not keen on over produced music either and I think that UYI suffers from that too.

I've tried with Grace quite a few times and cannot get on with it. It is one of those albums that is highly rated by a load of people that I normally agree with but I don't get*. But I think that it is a lesser of two evils for me.

* See Pink Moon and Astral Weeks.

How do you feel about Queen?

I'm with you on Pink Moon BTW. Astral Weeks is a very good album IMO, but nowhere near as important as people trying to sound knowledgeable about music would have you believe.
