Which album is better?

Agree with this, but I also think that can be said for Different Class, obviously in a very different way.

DC is probably my second best album of the 90s (behind The Holy Bible) - such a great snapshot of life in UK, witty, smart, dark and intelligent and good music to boot. Pulp had a great ability of making every song sound like Pulp but still making nothing sound alike
Did you see them play it at the Roundhouse recently?

Sadly not - I was living abroad when the tickets went on sale and wasn't expecting to be back.
How was Revol?!
Intense humming....must have been great.

Lost count of the number of times I've seen the manics. KT Forum in 2008(?) still my highlight

It was excellent. James Dean Bradfield had some awful kind of flu that night so wasn't at 100% but surprisingly the crowd of old duffers filled the gap.

It's the first time I'd ever heard 4st 7lb (my favourite) live too.

The William Shatner version of Common People is brilliant.

But not quite up there with his Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds

or Leonard Nimoy's Twinkle Twinkle Little Earth (it's nice to hear Peel on the intro here, it takes me right back)

Well. I havn't heard that version of Lucy in the Sky before but I think it is probably is the best thing I've ever heard in my life. In fact I think it wins this best music thingie poll by a clear margin. My life is irrevocably changed forever now.

Pure genius.

Very difficult choice.

I've gone for Different Class (just) because for me it is a strong part of the sound of the 90s with Nevermind and Definitely Maybe.

I'm still struggling to make up my mind. Both albums were amongst the biggest of the year of release and both kind of define periods of the 90's. It is almost like I am being asked to choose between the people that I was friends with when each album was released.

Well most of these choices have be difficult for me, as they are all pants imo.
If rem don't win this at a canter then you are all philistines.
But I did like both of these, although for me post was a better album from bjork than debut.
In the end I'm plumping for pulp becas6i can't watch the above video without thinking of dawn French.

I ended up going for Pulp too, in the end it came down to them encapsulating their time better. They really nailed what it was like living under that fag end Tory government for me.
