The Academy, NextGen, U18 & U21 Premier League and On-Loan Thread

Ajax beat Barcelona 3-0 in the previous round too, their academy must be getting back on track!

Good! Bindippers Academy boss was on the radio this afternoon and never mentioned the fact that the only reason they were still in the tournament is because we gonadsed up our selection against them.

He was happy to go on and on and on about how brilliant his lads were. taco.

i had a quick read of rawk when we played them and about 90% of them were slagging off our youngsters saying how brick they were... so im glad to see them get stuffed.

3 of the goals scored by danish player Victor Fischer.

One of the biggest talents around; he will be a big player in a few years time.

Will get his debut for Ajax senior team soon - no doubt about that

Maybe the biggest danish talent since the Laudrup brothers

1st time ive seen or heard of this player yesterday but looks a great prospect...deadly springs to mind. i also liked the look of their captain in the middle who apparently has already played CL footy for the 1st team

I've started creating separate blogs for each loanee. First up is Jordan Archer

Thoughts, comments etc...

Who do you want to see done next?

That is quality mate, as is Archer from the look of things.\o/

You could go alphabetically or positionally from here.

Thanks. I got Archer out of the way as getting Conference North information is not so easy.

He does seem to be a good keeper, his distribution sounds good and has created a fair amount of chances through his long clearances. He also seems to have good reactions and produces some great saves. It doesn't sound like he's had a bad game yet either and I fully expect him to get a league club next season coming in for him for a loan spell.

The Club can confirm that one of our young academy players, Oliver Modeste, sustained a significant head injury after an accidental fall on Sunday evening.

Oliver, 17, was taken to hospital where he has been treated for the last three days. The young defender remains in intensive care and is being closely monitored by specialists.

Oliver's family has asked the Club to convey their thanks for the many messages of support they have received. They have also asked that their privacy be respected at this time.

The thoughts of everyone at the Club are with Oliver's family.

Starts - Townsend, Caulker, Obika
Injured - Corluka
Cup-tied - Pienaar
On the bench - Kane (drops to), Carroll (again), Parrett (makes the), Oyenuga (again)
Out of squad (all again) - Falque, Mason, Bostock

Why did we buy Falque?
And why don't we just recall him from this disastrous loan spell?

He did get a game for the U-21s a few days ago and got an assist and a goal so I'm a little annoyed that didn't help him get on the bench yesterday.

The loan window closes on the 24th of March so let's see if someone else comes in for him or he sticks around.

Dawkins was an unused sub last night also.

A few weeks ago almost all our loanees bar Odeyuga and Falque were getting games, now most aren't! 8 more games left in the championship too.

Presumably our loanees were brought in by these clubs because the teams were short in that position, and to get a good look at the loanees.

Then either the first teamers got back to fitness, or the loanees weren't good enough to keep their place

I would normally applaud your efforts with the reports and blogs but it is bordering on obsessive mate - I doubt Jordan Archer's mum has kept a scrapbook as good as that... and you're planning to do it for every loanee, no matter how low the division?!

My applause... and deepest sympathies :D

Maybe you should apply a filter such as only doing those lads you think have a chance of getting on our bench in the next 2 years, or you'll be doing this for 6 days a week

Once I get Mirko Ranieri out of the way the rest will be quick and painless ;)
