£17m? 3 years on £200k a week is £30m, then the transfer fee.
 
I’m as unhappy as everyone else at how this turned out but Ndombele didn’t force himself on us, we agreed the transfer fee and the size of his contract. A huge mistake but not our first and certainly won’t be our last. I wish him luck all the more so as I like Napoli.

Yes we did agree the contract and fee. We just expected him to put the effort in.
 
Good move all round
They get a replacement for Ruiz who is joining PSG (he is class)
We get rid of a big cash drainer (yeah we will be paying some of his salary)
And he can play again in a slower league where he can tear it up

I think that may be a bit unfair.... Winks and Gil looked like they tried/cared when they played. Just not right for us or our current level and aspirations.

It was lack of direction, rather than a poor signing per se. Buying a ballplayer for a possession manager, then sacking that manager about 10 games later, then bringing in a couple of polar-opposite counter-attacking managers who didn't use ballplayers. That was the madness.
 
13m, peanuts, but he’s more valuable out of our squad and I hope we get that money next summer.

We couldn’t even get that for GLC, what a pair of useless tossers.

That doesn't excuse his lack of effort. His strolling off the pitch when we were losing to Morecombe in the cup sums him up as a player, an absolute clown shoe.
The effort required under Poch is a lot more than under Mourinho and it wouldn't have turned out any different if Poch was still here.
