Think a few of us have noted that Kane's days as an all action CF are behind him, no break for how many years + injuries + immediately rushed back for 90 mins unnecessarily.
Whatever happens going forward he's going to need someone playing near him to be his legs.
Yeah that’s exactly what the article saysThanks BedfordSpurs, interesting that our "220 pressures" was the most of the weekend. I guess 90% of them were entirely uncoordinated i.e. 3 people press, 7 people don't. I.e. pointless pressing that is easy to evade.
I don't think that's true. He just typically needs a run of games to get fully up to speed. He put in some excellent, all action performances after the restart.
I think that he does need cover and managing through busy schedules. I do worry that his contract is so heavily incentivised that he will be reluctant to accept missing games.
My thoughts as well and i said elsewhere that finding a ( good) striker to come here is not going to be easy, those who are very good will not be willing to sit on the bench most games and i really can not see Kane being that willing to sit out games very often. I may be wrong on that but i really think he will want to play every game.

I am sure that he would want to play every game anyway because he is chasing records but I wonder whether we ought to offer him a new contract, with a higher basic wage, to encourage him to rest occasionally. In the long term it could help him get another couple of years out of his career.
Also needs to sit out of some of the nonsensical international games too
I am not sure offering him a new contract will make much difference to be honest ( i could be wrong though) he will be 28 by the time next season comes around and with all the injurys he has had he may only have a few years left at the top level, he will want to win a few things and staying here another couple of years may put the block on him doing that.
I know i have said it before but top players ( i think we can all agree he is one) wants to end his playing days with as many medals as he can, and i love Spurs but i honestly can not see him doing that here. And i can honestly say i would not blame him for wanting that, no more then i could hold it against Berby, Modric, Bale.
Good point, we really need him to be realistic about how much he can play and it would be reallyAlso needs to sit out of some of the nonsensical international games too
I think that maybe the case and his comments on Eriksen leaving on All or Nothing made me think that he might be thinking like that.
The flip side is, who would be interested and could afford our asking price? If there isn't a buyer, he might focus on beating Greaves record and maybe pick up a cup with us along the way.
Only team in Europe who could afford him are cityHe will cost a fortune to buy i agree, but we all know/have seen over several years that there are clubs around in Europe and here that they always find a way of false accounting and will spend what ever it costs.
Do not get me wrong i hope he ends his days here but i really can not see it, unless we start winning a lot of things over the next year or two ( we live in hope).

United are skint. They borrowed money like we did and they can’t afford sanchoTo be honest i am not sure you are right about that, but who knows.
