I read somewhere has was annoyed at not being allowed to move to a China. If true I guess we want to sign someone in midfield first.

I dont believe that. Given the fees Chinese clubs pay, we'd have jumped at it.

Has a team which finished in the top 4 ever not signed a player in the window afterwards???

Has a PL team ever not signed a player in the summer window?

As posted before, Levy saved this club and has taken us to where we are today - far, far above where we were when he came in. I don't believe though that we're somehow special and can't sign players earlier in the window now that we're a top 4 team or couldn't sign players earlier in the window when we used to finish 5th or 6th.

I'm not saying we should be splashing gazillions - just a question of timing.

Could be, but he is a cardio fitness specialist. Doing VO2/VCO2 Fitness Assessment and stuff like that. Maybe just rutine work, but a bit strange to have to be standby and not just called in. I have no clue how that stuff works.

So Burnley are the only club that haven’t signed anyone either...seems well run clubs, over achieving with long serving managers struggle to find players better than they have developed within budget!!

Whoever it was, I read it meant Spurs were now the only PL club not to have signed anyone. But maybe the source was jumping the gun. A tad premature. From a quick google now I can’t find any done deals for Burnley.
So we are not alone.
