Not if your aim is silverware?
From where we came from when Levy first arrived is massive ( the same Levy who some fans can not wait to bitch about), all we need now is the take the next step.

We need real quality on our bench, not sure we can go there just yet, maybe we need a little more time!
Another couple of seasons should do it!imho
Look at the city bench real quality
Well if you are looking to get a bench like City have you can forget it, and as for time we need to win something or we will lose more players.
Ha just saw that. My mate text me the Rose thing and I fell for it.Lol! Rose hands in transfer request followed by an item that on quick reading looks like Kane loaned to Strasbourg!
I think we can remove De Ligt from the list. He's playing for Ajax in their CL qualifier, which I think means that he can't play for another team in the CL, or does the qualifiers not count?
That should help the bigger teams should someone try and upset the order...They've abolished the cup-tied rules in the CL and EL this season
Really? Didn't know that. They've abolished the cup-tied rules in the CL and EL this season
In a way that's true. The problem is that no one can pull a City or a Chelski now. When they did it there was no FFP, which allowed them to build up their image and status and be able to generate their current income levels. This cannot happen anymore with FFP.It's purpose is to protect the establishment, while stopping nouveau riche. So it won't stop the likes of City spending. But Fulham definitely fall in the nouveau riche category
Does anyway reckon half the reason Daniel likes leaving deals until the end of August rather than the start of June, is the massive wages saving too!?
12 weeks avoided payments to a £100k per week signing, saves him over £1m!

Surely that's outweighed by the time it takes to bed players into the team, and in particular the amount of pre-season training they do under Poch.
I would say it's a possibility. What businessman wouldn't want to save £1-2 mill
All this Levy leaves it late stuff out of choice is rubbish IMO
If we go in for De ligt on April 1st then 5 other clubs get involved, his price goes up and we are priced out, and the player has a better alternative both in wages, but also prestige.
We are in the worst situation, we are trying to buy players who would rather go somewhere else other than spurs, thats the harsh truth.
So we have to conduct our business in a different way, its rubbish but its the dynamics of it
Why would other clubs suddenly decide to go in for De Ligt because we do? If a club who can afford a bigger transfer fee and wages than we can wants De Ligt then surely they just go to Ajax and make an offer for him?All this Levy leaves it late stuff out of choice is rubbish IMO
