Squad

Last season I had mentioned Baleba as a player I felt would fit us really well. He's probably beyond what we'd pay now, but if we are ditching Bentancur and Bissouma, I'd pay the money personally. It seems clear that we will push hard to buy Dibling, which is good. Diego Luna is an interesting player, exciting to watch, gritty, not sure about him being a fit for this league though...and then there's Paz at Como, who is easy on the eye and looks very strong too.

Baleba is a good shout. Brighton do seem pretty good at extracting big money from the top clubs though.

Personally, I think Joao Gomes is the best fit for us. He'll be turning 25 on his next b'day and has the PL experience. Whenever I watch him he takes responsibility. Whilst not being that old himself, he seems to be one of the leaders in the Wolves pack. Surely wants a move to a bog club at this stage.

Come on, show a little respect! We're not that bad!

Has cardosa been any good this season?

@Bedfordspurs @Lilbaz interesting to see The Athletic publish this piece literally hours ago!!!! Their breakdown essentially backs up what Bedford says in the sense of him being a ball-winner, and what I've said about him not being special enough to be a difference-maker. I believe he would be a 'cheaper punt' option in a position we need to take very seriously. There again, at 23, he fits the profile of player we are looking to bring in. Let's see...I'll hold my hand up and say I was wrong if he's bossing it here this time next year.

By the time you've asked Brighton how much they want for Baleba (who i think is very good btw) ....you might as well be buying Wharton from Palace.

That’s how I see him
Someone to stop the opposition in a way that that we have palacios those years ago
We don’t have anyone who can win the ball without maiming the opposition
I appreciate that isn’t Ange ball but I don’t think he will be here
A stopper and a runner as a pairing could work well IMO
Bergvall and gray can do both roles too
Bentacur looked his best too playing that way

Gotta say I'm sceptical of a US websites appraisal of a US national player

He's another Solomon who we'll assess on weather we can turn him in a year for more profit than his interim salary.
