Well I hope we will have Eriksen, Lamela, N'Koudou, Alli and Son as our 5 with Kane, Onomah and Edwards able to rotate it.
Suggesting that edwards can be relied upon is a big call. Looks a talent but is tiny and will probably take some time to develop.
Onomah is playing out of position and so far he hasn't looked amazing.
Erisken is woefully out of form although I have full confidence in him to return soon.
Lamela is growing in confidence and looks like he will have a good season.
Ndoukou is completely unproven and just like Clinton, he doesn't seem like a particularly amazing talent and I wouldn't rest your hopes on him doing much this season. Let's hope he does, but I'm not holding my breath.
I think Alli bar end product last season was often anonymous and even worrying with his touch etc... Before anyone attacks me for slagging of our prodigal son, I think it's actually to be expected that a league one player will not be refined and could have a second season drop off. He has real talent but he could have a very difficult second season so we need to use him well and ensure that he doesn't burn out.
High hopes for son but judging by his comments and the rumours, he might be unhappy and could well be off. After an up and down first season you would hope he progresses but let's see.
Basically my point is we need to improve in this area - Zaha would add a lot to our squad regardless of what people think as our movement and pace is severely lacking. We will regress if we stand still and I sincerely hope that we can add a couple of proven players before Thursday. We have the basis of a really good squad but a bit of misfortune and we could struggle this season.
I hope this is taken as a pinch of realism rather than panicky pessimism
