Son Heung-Min

So do we think Sonny is heading to the US?

I'm guessing we wouldn't make the announcement in this way if boxes weren't ticked elsewhere.

Saudi. America. Turkey. Qatar.

No idea. But yes a deal has been agreed. He's not going to announce and nobody comes in for him. Was probsbly signed off weeks ago.

Probably LAFC... which I hope is true because then I have some chance of seeing him play here in MLS. Would much rather see Sonny playing than Messi.

Personally, although having the Korean connection was nice, I always saw Son as a Spurs player rather than a Korean player at Spurs. With that said, I hope the Korean fans that came to see him play remain Spurs fans and I know that despite there being a Son-shaped hole missing in their hearts, it can at least be filled with all the memories from his time with us (I guess that applies to all of us tbf).

Despite being emotional, I agree that this is the correct decision from all parties. You could tell from the video of him in the Incheon airport that something wasn't quite right and that he was feeling some heavy emotions. I could hear the photographers telling him to smile in Korean when he and Yang were holding the South Korea flag, and that made me feel some emotions knowing he had to keep up appearances because he wants to make the fans, media, and general public happy.

I'm so happy for what Son gave us and I'm happy for him that he was able to achieve major silverware. I'll never forget his Puskas goal and I thank him for having the most contagious smile in history.

At least Sonny has given any of his Korean fans who have season tickets a chance to return them and get their money back , most only came for him, they have 7 days to do it .

Here we go again, do you not have anything better to do?

I can still wish someone the best even if i was critical of his performances, i never once said i disliked the guy.

Maybe show some respect. Say i think he's past his prime and it would be best if he moved on.
Not tell him to fudge off.

I'll always call it out. We should respect the players who put our shirt on and try their best for us. If they are not good enough, fair enough. But don't call them brick. Or tell them to fudge off.

Heat of the moment, typing without thinking. A lot of things i have said in the heat of the moment doesn’t reflect what i think of the player as a person or as a footballer but you carry on bringing up the negatives which you are so clearly good at doing. I didn’t put that post up to score points, that was my true feelings about Son when i heard he was leaving, if i didn’t think it i wouldn’t have posted it. Football fans, we are all fickle but you carry on being perfect.

Listening to all the accolades by players etc don't think we will be seeing him in any more PL matches.

My bad, missed the season tickets. Thought meant tickets for the game.
Doubt we have that many korean season ticket holders. Probably some, but if they just wanted to support son and not spurs that's on them.

Have to see how many Koreans turn up for the Burnley game, lower east on the half way line there were always quite a few sitting there in a group but as you say just Sonny supporters and not Spurs. Will we see this young lady at Spurs again...

Loads of koreans turn up to games. Are they season ticket holders though? Or tourists?
