Son Heung-Min

Or he could be one of the special few who are registered for domestic but not CL.

I'd do it the other way round. Register him for the European squad, but not the league one.

I don't think he's got the legs now to be contributing week in; he's entered Perisic territory.

Perisic, now that is a blast from the past. 36 years old and still going strong. Just won the title with PSV, 9 goals and 8 assists in 27 league matches.

To every rule there is an exception, I would have no problem in letting Son go on a free if he wished to see out his contract. The one think I would not do after his long service would be to force him out if he did not wish to go.
But if Son does leave, I wish him the best. He would leave as a true tottenham legend

I guess the big unknown is whether Sonny will settle for a reduced role. We also don't know how reduced that will be. We can definitely look after him better by managing his workload. If Frank does come in and plays a 4-2-3-1 it could be hard for Sonny to adapt.

Shall be interesting to see if Son can adapt to losing his pace and still be an effective attacker for Frank.

Perisic is a master technician like Modric and should be able to play at top level for another season or 2 yet.

Such a shame he was injured for most of his time at Spurs, so we were not only denied his top drawer skills but that elite winners mindset too.

Very different levels of player
Sonny was all about separation and very very elite finishing.
Arguably the best on the world on that front
But without the pace to leave his man he ain’t getting the chances like before and he weirdly is also not hitting the chances he has well

Son’s dwindling pace is understandable at this late stage in his career but his scuffed finishes are a surprise.

Hopefully he can regain his mojo and ain’t on a negative spiral towards becoming like Werner.

He will have an excuse as he is coming to the end of his career, Werner should be at his peak.
