I wonder how long it will be for Son to be accepted as a world class finisher/player and really take his spot at the Spurs top table when discussing legends? Gets written off time and again and comes back to prove his class.

I honestly think he is up there with Kane for different reasons in his importance to Spurs.

The clubs now have ridiculous data about energy and drop off through fatigue, given the nature of the way we play its likely to try and keep up the levels and also protect the players.

Son sprints and then sprints and then sprints and then sprints and then sprints and then gets taken off to preserve him.

How often did you see Linford Christie sprint and then sprint and then sprint and then sprint and then sprint???

Son is a great cf. Said it for ages. Whenever kane got injured, he'd come in and score goals.

Has he got to the age where he is better off in the center? Like ronaldo did? I think so.

He was garbage last season, much better recently, not at his best yet though.

Would agree with that. Said last season that he looked like he lost a slight bit of speed which was fatal to him because he relies on pace and quickness of feet so much. He says he was injured and early signs are that his explanation makes more sense.

However, I was very uneasy with the stick he took from some fans last season. A few months after being top scorer you had a lot of fans shouting for him to be dropped and/or sold. For me, Sonny has earned more loyalty than that. His performances on the pitch and as captain this season have been very good. Long may it continue.
