Sleep problems

No I haven't been tested for anything. I went over the symptoms on NHS site, there's a few that somewhat apply, but also a family history of some associated disorders so it's definitely something worth looking into.
Definitely worth it, there is a link between ADHD and differing interactions with stimulants.
If you look at the website/app PhychTools, it has the recognised self reporting tests on.

Your overall total score was 78 out of a possible 181 points.
Your scores indicate the following:

ADHD (inattentive sub-type): present
ADHD (hyperactive sub-type): not present
Oppositional Defiant Disorder: not present
Conduct Disorder: not present
Anxiety and/or Depression: present

I did one my wife sent for ASD, 106 I think it was, somewhere between good chance and definitely.

I think its def worth someone having a look at my noggin, even if it just provides a laugh.
I sorta believe there may be a problem brain/psyche wise, its very borderline with caveats sort of thing.

I'd be more interested in the chemical/biological side of things, weed sends me paranoid with a chance of being sick, alcohol keeps me up all night and has produced some great problem solving (I don't want to big it up, but I've fixed tech issues drunk, while a team hasn't been able to sort it sober for a week, me included) even when I don't remember wtf I did.
This intense sleep nonsense however is new, and I don't like it one bit.

Wow....that's super interesting

Please don't use internet for medical advice, even NHS site gives multiple symptoms and you end up thinking the worse. If you can insist on seeing your GP.

Its funny isnt it. Most ADHD medicines are basically amphetamine. But it actually calms hyper people

So I got the results of my sleep tests today perfect when I sleep on my sides unfortunately I stopped breathing 33 times when on my back luckily the old brain woke me up each time. See the specialist tomorrow

Sleep apnea?
Yes only started after my cardiac arrest. my organs are fudged but I am told they will improve over time but my breathing is bad especially while sleeping.specialist told me today I need a CPAP machine then he told me the cost what a rip off.

Might be free in the UK but not in Oz couple of grand but I am trying to find a better price. How does he go on the machine does it actually help some of the reviews make me wonder if it's worth it

Did shift work for years so my sleep pattern was fudged.
A couple of beers, food hot bath usually did the trick.
Or shot of night nurse. Stuff is brilliant.

sleeping.specialist told me today I need a CPAP machine
Oof, that isn't great. I only ever hear terrible things about these machines i.e. super uncomfortable and noisy and people would rather do almost anything than use them.
Maybe if you are fine lying on your side, you can rig up some situation where you are forced on your side / never sleep on your back. A bit like that old old solution of wearing a bra backwards with tennis balls in it, to prevent you lying on your back. But a bit more modern perhaps.
