Sir Patrick Moore

Yep great man that brought something to the masses which we did not know about before. Can not pretend to be that interested in the topic but i have always liked guys who seemed so passionate about their chosen field.

Also he lived about a 10 minute walk from where i live.
 
I put it in the space thread but yeah he deserves his own thread. Brilliant guy and brought me into space haha

Im actually a Town Councillor in Selsey and live about 2 mins away from Farthings, Sir Patricks house and live opposite and am friends with Pete Lawrence one of the other presenters of the sky at night.
Sir Patrick was a great man both for the world and also for Selseyites.. he'll be sadly missed. Im sure the town will hold a huge memorial for him shortly, hes literally going to be a huge loss for the Town. RIP Big Man
