It feels like no team wants it at the moment.. This weekend's game just got so much bigger (if that's possible!)
A win will be monumental! But you just know Arsenal will be at us like a cut snake following a few really average performances.
We need to come out absolutely firing like we have for most of this season.
This has to be one of the more ridiculous phrases that has become commonplace in the media these days when discussing English football. Of course they want it but its football, things don't always go the way you think, only one team can win.
Do you for a second seriously think even a turd like Walcott doesn't want to win the league?
I'm not having a dig at you by the way. As for the weekend, it is a genuine six pointer and Poch will have his work cut out lifting the players in a physical sense, but its a derby so mentally they'll be bang up for it.
I for one fancy us to hold our nerve mainly due to the home ground advantage. Big role for the crowd to play.
Totally agree, everything was against us last night but other than Man U no one could take advantage.the way I see it, 10 games left, 7 or 8 wins which we're more than capable of and we'll go close.
if anyone betters our record over the next 10 then they'll deserve to be champions.
cue me getting abused.
I totally understand where you're coming from, I've probably used the phrase incorrectly after having it drilled into my brain by sport media. I'm aware most teams want to win, but what I saw tonight was the 'weakest' performance we've turned in for a long time.
I guess what I was trying to get at is that (warning: cliche overload ahead) no team has been able to grab the bull by the horns, throw down the gauntlet and make themselves title favourites when the opportunity has presented itself.. It's all so up in the air! That's more along the lines of what my brain was thinking but my fingers failed to convert to type.
Also for what it's worth, not sure Walcott is the best example.. Having a 'weak mentally' would be an understatement when describing that useless cretin.
Suddenly Leicester are favourites again.
Where's this Liverpool are peaking coming from?
They didn't peak - City were abject in defence, Swansea could have beat them
