I still think there is a player in there, we need to replace Trippier and would like to see him given a run in the team. The problem is the season is nearly over and we may have a new RB by the time we start next season.

He's more injury prone than Darren Anderton. Hardly ever available. We need players we can rely on, not flaky nutters.
 
He has to start.
We saw last night in that Europa mess that none of the players are "match fit" or "match sharp"
We can't play Trippier against Liverpool.

Hmm, you may be right but the 6 hour flight couldn’t have helped either team not to mention the stadium was half empty and the atmosphere was flat. Won’t be like that on Saturday. It will be a cauldron of noise. The intensity will be a lot higher.

In isolation I agree playing Aurier over trippier but there’s a potential of playing three players who have barely kicked a ball over the last 6 weeks. Playing one is a risk, three is a potentially reckless.

I don't particularly think either are good BUT you just feel that one more Trippier sh.it show is gonna cost us at some point. We've navigated around some of his others but in the one-off, biggest game of them all...I don't want to lose because of something that is staring us in the face.

Aurier may do something stupid, and there is a fair chance of that too, but I'm certain Trippier will cost us at least a goal. He's having a very poor season, possibly because of carrying an injury, but as a result his aura is the wrong colour. I hope he proves me 100% wrong if he plays.
 
Think it could be a break out season coming up for Serge. Would be happy for him to be our starting RB with Trippier's replacement providing competition next season.
