Finney Is Back

Something that I found very strange was that they were going WAY down the waiting list to invite people to buy a new ST for next season with (seemingly) all on the waiting list having a chance of getting in quickly and snapping one up, irrespective of their position on the list. Have I missed something here and was there something in place that would (e.g) have one or two days for those under (say) 10,000 on the list, then same for next 10,000, and so on?
I think previously the club had 42,000 ST holders. If we assume the standard 5% non renewal rate (it was actually a lot higher this year) then that is 2,100 given up STs. Add on the 2,500 new STs and that's 4,600 ST's available. Allowing one or two day windows for 0 to 10,000, 10,001 to 20,000, etc would seem the right way to allow them to be purchased (as I'm sure the actual ratio of people that want one compared to people on the waiting list is likely to be reasonably low. As the number of ST's available reduces the waiting list portion allowed to apply could also reduce accordingly (i.e. when under 2,000 ST's available groups of 5,000 could be allowed in to attempt to get one, under 1,000 then 3,000 allowed in etc...
Otherwise there is a risk that people very high up on the list could get a season ticket at the expense of somebody who has been waiting for several years just because they are quicker/better at using the app.
Another question I have is whether the club ever move ST holder's seats slightly to ensure they have more ST's available in groups of 2 or more seats? I've had an ST for eons now and never been moved but it would make sense if the club reserved the right to move a person by (say) 1 or 2 seats to reduce the number of singles.
