Ryan Mason

We are consistent with those to be fair.
A couple of years ago we used to be quite creative with our set pieces and shorts corners routines etc.

Weird thing is we now Kane and Dier have left we have almost no one other than Romero who is threat from a long corner (Maybe Richarlison, if he is playing) and we have no real plan other than to hit and hope... at least that's what it feels like

I’d rather we play short and back to the CB’s than loft an easy take for the keeper.

We did have a top set piece coach

Might explain why Wells, not Davies, got the more senior coaching job that Davies vacated. Perhaps the club always knew Mason was buying time and waiting for a 1st team manager's job.

That's one way of looking at it.
I don't blame him but he certainly had his head turned.
He has had his head turned before
A few championship clubs enquired
He will get a chance which will be a good fit
Andelrecht seemed a step too far too quick imo

Someone said Anderlecht were a bit unsure about Mason, could be a bit too much too soon for him, in a new country and a new league etc. Can't remember who said that, probably someone on a pod.

To be honest that would make more sense than Mason turning them down, as it would have been a fantastic opportunity for him.

Shame, as I thought this would work out well for both parties - Mason has got some fantastic experience under his belt from some of the best coaches in the game, and he really impressed me how he handled himself when caretaker at such a young age. Would definitely keep an eye out for him when he goes into management, as a couple of good experiences at a lower level and he really could be setting himself up for a pathway back here at some point (I acknowledge unlikely but not impossible).....
