Rule changes in football

Keep the 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw, but have zero points to both sides for a 0-0 draw. It would stop drab games fizzling out with teams settling for a bore draw and the last 10 minutes of a game would be realy exciting as both teams go for broke, golden goal style.

So a 0-0 would be worth the same as a 0-7 defeat? 8-[
 
No penalty shootouts. Instead during extra time each team withdraws a player of their choice every 5 minutes. So after the usual 30 minutes of extra time it will be 5 a side. If scores are still level stay at 5 a side and golden goal applies
 
How about if you are a 'Sky Big 4' team, you are allowed an extra man on the field playing for your side.

To distinguish the extra man from the others on the team, he should wear a different coloured shirt.

And carry a whistle.
 
1. Whiskey nose doesnt get 5-6 mins after 90 mins is up for his team to find a winning goal should they not be winning.

2. Get rid of bias refs.
 
Instead of injury time, a separate independent official is the timekeeper. The clock STOPS for any stoppages due to injury and substitutions, and the match ends dead on 90 minutes (or the next moment the ball goes dead like in Rugby)

Like that one - Simple and Effective.




I think Extra Time and Penalties should be abolished. If a cup match is drawn at 90 minutes, count back the number of corners earnt - Team with the highest number wins. If they have the same number - then go to Extra Time. Very simple to calculate - no more officials needed.

Talking about a man on your side with a different shirt colour - In the olympic volleyball (the real 6 a side thing, not the bikini babes in the mall) each team had such a man - what was that all about ?
 
Play two 40 minute halves, stadium clock stops every time the balls out of play. The final whistle blows on 80 minutes or at the 'natural' end of the next attack.

Definitely bring retrospective punishment for blatant diving, a 3 game ban I think.

Swearing at the ref, surrounding the ref and waving imaginary cards is an 8 minute sin bin.

Start giving penalties for shirt grabbing / wrestling in the box on corners / set pieces.

Winner of Europe gets champions league and winner of Fa Cup gets champions league and winner of league cup gets champions league as well as 1st & 2nd in the league

Is that winner of Europa at the start you mean?

If so I agree with that completely. I for one think it's much more glorious to win a trophy than to be the fourth best in a league and there should be more of a reward for winning a cup than bettered by three opposing teams. It'd never happen but I think that's a boss idea
